About Our Lead Consultant
Kalid Mawi is a financial and strategic advisor with experience across corporate finance, investment advisory, and venture ecosystems in Africa, having worked, among other entities, for EY and Grant Thornton.
He has advised SMEs, multinational corporations, and development organizations on strategy, transactions, and market entry. His work includes engagements with organizations such as Huawei, PwC, IHS Towers, Albright Stonebridge Group, Betway, Seamfix, and USAID-funded programs.
Kalid previously co-founded Pragma Investment Advisory, where he led advisory engagements across multiple sectors and supported capital raising and transaction execution. He has also been actively involved in Africa’s venture ecosystem as an executive board member and advisor at the Kazana Group, supporting startups and early-stage ventures.
He is a certified Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst from the Corporate Finance Institute (Canada), holds a BA in Business Administration from Lincoln University (USA), and an Advanced Business Diploma from Centennial School of Business (Canada).
